West Indies World T20 Champion

West Indies' players pose with the trophy after winning the World Twenty20 cup Final cricket match against Sri Lanka in Colombo October 7, 2012.

Marlon Samuels, regarded by many as the enfant dreadful of West Indies cricket, produced a gem — 78 runs off 56 balls (3x4, 6x6) — and, predictably, got the Mom award.
Australian all-rounder Shane Watson was named Player of the series at the conclusion of the World Twenty20 at the R. Premadasa Stadium Sunday.

The 31-year-old batted six innings in the match score a total of 249 runs at an average of 49.80.

He also took 11 wickets at an average of 16 and an economy rate of 7.33 with his particularly useful medium pace bowling.
